Off the single pair it works, it’s just not as good as the standard speakers which are poor anyway. If I connect both pairs, and wire with the 2 pos and 1 neg that’s when I’ll get clipping/distorting bass and anything over 40% volume or so.

It’s very confusing! Lol at least I now know how to take the door card off a mclaren in less than 5mins and know exactly where all the bolts go. :-) Easy life would be to take it to someone and have them change lots, but I’m a tech guy who’s spent most of his life fiddling with things doing...

It’s definitely dvc and has a separate pair of wires for the tweeter.

Lol yeah that was my snipping/rejoining of wires. The number of times I’ve had the speaker/terminals on/off wired differently etc just been doing lots of testing so far tbh.

There’s actually quite a lot of space behind, so the speaker mount actually screws to a deeper adapter on the door that probably adds another 3in of depth again. Its just getting the wiring right or if it’s even possible, I’d be happy finding a good quality 6.5in dvc, only it doesn’t seem like...

Tweeter is in top of the door, only around 2in.

This is everything, the amp is a pain to get to behind the drivers seat, so at the moment this is all I have.
