Sorry i didnt mean to bash your PG amp or anything, what I meant was that it would be too much for two Alpine Type R's or two Eclipse aluminums.

    by by L5's!!!!

I would definitely look at Eclipse decks. They have true 2.7 volt outputs on their lower end decks (where as the Alpine decks will reach 4 volts when they are clipping pretty much). Some Alpine Type Rs would be about as loud as those L5s but actually have SQ. If you wanted to spend more you...

just got my jl's in...problem perhaps

It sounds like you need to reset your gain control on your amp for the rear channels (and maybe the front too). 1. Turn the gain control on your amp for both the front and rear channels all the way down. 2. Put in a familiar cd and turn your alpine's volume control to around 32. 3. Now, turn...

US Acoustics makes some good inexpensive amps. You might want to look at JL's e series for a bit more.

    Kicker 12" Comp VR

Friends dont let friends buy sony. Their car audio equipment is unrealiable and the power ratings are over rated. Buy yourself maybe a nice Rockford mono amp or even a JBL bp 600.1.

    badass lanzar amp!

It will never output 800 watts (unless struck by lightening, and the amp would have to be having a good day). Save your money for a good and reliable brand (like JBL) and you wont be dissapointed.

    components with good bass

Maybe seal of an enclosure in your door and put some 6" JL W0s in them. They wont give you a ton of bass but they will be ok.

    the best?

You will probobly want to go with an amp for any of the above mentioned 6x9s.

    Assistance Choosing 3-Way Component set

I would buy a high quality set (like the 2 way JL set or the CDT set) and then maybe add a 6" or 8" woofer in the kick panels on each side also if you want more midbass upfront. I would try to avoid using multiple component sets and mounting them all over (keep em in the kicks). You could use a...

    Amp Spec Question, please Help

Your alternator is not going to produce 14.4 volts on average (especially if its a small car). Even with a high output alternator you will not reach 14.4 volts with your system running probobly.

    the best?

You should go to a local shop (if you can) and listen to different 6x9s with the same cd and cd player. I would reccomend some MB Quarts or Bostons. Buy what ever sounds best to you because everyone has their opinion on what is the best.

    New system installed, Sound Issues!

Ok this head-unit has a hella lot of features for shaping the sound. Have you played with the high pass filter setting for the front and rear speakers? It definitely sounds like you need to readjust the gain on at least your sub amp. Have you set them yet?

    Amp Spec Question, please Help

I would use the 12 volt rating if it is given. It is more accurate then the 14 v rating (your alternator probobly wont output more then 14 volts if you have all of your stuff running). The 14 volt rating is strictly for marketing purposes so the manufacture can make their product look like it...
