I would be inclined to go with 800 to be on the safe side. Mush more than that and you're just creating more heat, and like the other guys said, that could lead to fried coils.

I would go with the RL-p's, they have a high end SQ and decent spl depending on the application. In your case with the sealed setup they would have characteristics similar to what you're after. These subs are power hungry, so be sure that whatever amp you get that it can feed in the ball-park...
