Thanks.....that is the same as the guide with the amp.... What I am getting at is since I have a one channel amp, one Best Buy (I know, no flames!) guy stated if I hooked up like the 2ohm diagram, it is actually running on 1 ohm?????

I have a 1 channel Alpine M-350 amp.......(already bridged internally?) Trying to hook up sub (dual voice coil)..... The wiring guide that came with the sub shows hooking up + on one coil, - to the other, and then jump + to +, - to -..........But installer says that would make it run 1 ohm...

Instead of pulling the dash, I should be able to test the RCA cables at the connection to the amp, right?

I have power, just no sound.

Just installed an Alpine head unit.....9825 Have four door speakers (Eclipse) Bought an Alpine MRP-350 sub-amp, using RCAs hooked up to head unit. Have a dual-voice coil Alpine 12" Sub 1242D.... Head unit works fine......so did amp/sub for about 5 minutes....then no sound from sub. Still...
