Did you have to splice a new harness for that Clarion HU? I'm starting to think my problem is identical to yours but I just don't want to splice another harness haha

@Inter007 I think you're onto something especially since you had the same problem with a JVC HU. I realllllllyyyy don't wanna re-splice another wiring harness so does anyone know of any decks that can fit the newer, smaller 16 pin jvc wiring harness? Or do they only fit jvc? ****** hate splicing lol

The thing is I've tried and changed every possible setting on both HUs. So I really don't think it's that. Speakers are fine it's just the subs playing quietly. The amp gain is all the way up so they should be pushing 1000w rms wired at 1 ohm and it's not even close to that.

ok I was literally just out there messing with it more and i turned my "SUB.W LEVEL" on the HU all the way up with the bass knob out of the amp and the subs play extremely quietly but they are ON. The amp gain is all the way up but it's really really quiet. progress!?

Ok, so i got the RCA to 3.5mm and the subs play, BUT like with my original hifonics amp, had to take the bass knob connection out of the amp for them to play. Not sure sure if that's a hifonics defect or what... bubba said if they play during the iPod test, it's either the HU or the RCAs, but i...

I wired the subs the same way i did my last setup in my other rsx, which is at 1ohm. The best buy guy advised me when i did it to my other setup. And like i stated, ALL of my wiring connections are 100% solid---inside the sub box and all throughout the car. I've unplugged the bass knob numerous...

@bubbagumper6 ... how could my problem be downstream if I replaced my amp and subs with BRAND NEW versions, and almost every wire too?

The right spot is input bro. I have a pretty decent knowledge I'm just stumped. Just fiddled with,changed all the settings on the head unit, no luck. Turned the "SUBW" setting all the way up to +08 and then down to -08.....nothing

RCA's definitely in the right spot, also tried every other spot just in case....

I'm like say 70% sure i checked the sub settings on the HU, i'll go check that right now again. BRB
