the battery is in the trunk with the sub and amp, but yes it is smaller than 4 gauge, it does need to bigger but it is only two and a half to three feet long.
i should probably invest in one, i'll be troubleshooting soon on my day off starting with a different sub to isolate the problems, i'm unsure as to whether it could be a channel on the amp shorting out or what, but a multimeter will help.
recently i've had my sub cut off after a period of time while in use. i found out that the terminal connection the inside of my speaker box to the outside was faulty so i hardwired my sub to my amp and it worked. but now my sub will only play after i've started my car and if i keep the volume...
