What Makes Bass - Go Out of the car

I just made my sun roof into an infinite baffle/blowthough setup. Sounds great inside because you *ARE* the enclosure Sounds great outside too, kickin it loud at party's n shit. I cut the bottom 6 inches off my hatch so the rear deck speakers run IB too, and I poured salt water down inside...

Can an Amp blow from a bad ground?

Yes if you have a loose ground while the amp is running, then the current that would normally try to go down the ground wire will go down whatever else is grounded. Usually that would be the ring of the RCAs for your amp input. Not good for the headunit, hopefully the manufacturer has decent...

    4ohm dvc question wiring

Making sure I have it all straight... 2 subs, each one has DVC's and each coil is 4 ohms. The lowest you could do, would be 1 ohm, all 4 coils in parallel. If you got a 3rd sub and put it all in parallel, you would be down to 2/3 ohm, and a 4th sub in parallel would be .5 ohm

    Reducing spade terminals for 4AWG

Yeah, its been working fine, but since I was going to be redoing wiring and stuff when I add the 4 channel I wanted to make it look cleaner rather then having to keep 2 extra distrobution blocks for going from 4AWG to 8AWG right next to the monoblock

    Reducing spade terminals for 4AWG

I'm going to be upgrading my stereo in my car to include a 4 channel amp and a monoblock for my sub, currently it is just the monoblock. I have ~5 feet of 4 AWG, fused near the battery, feeding a distribution block, where I have a short (~8 inch) lenth of 8 AWG feeding the amp. The main issue...

Amping a factory head unit, without pre-outs.

Cool, thanks, that should make it a tad easier to not have to mess around with adding resistors.

Amping a factory head unit, without pre-outs.

I started to get some rattle in my factory door speakers, in my 08 cobalt, w/o onstar or premium sound system. I have new speakers ordered (front and rear) and I'm going to run new speaker wire into the door, and in the future install an Alpine MRP-F300 amp, and use the speaker level inputs...
