Gotcha man. I was just confused because kicker boast 1000W @ 2 AND 1 ohms. I figured it would produce more like power like other amps that can handle .5ohms. learn something new everyday.

so, it doesn't make a difference at 2, 1, or .5 ohm? it's all gonna be 1kW?

i understand all that. I am running it series now. but we are straying away from the OP. I like the advice but i just want to know if anyone knows what it might have been doing watt wise at .5

hmmm. i see, but i've run the amp on my apocalypse at 2 ohms (which is 1000W) and it was no where as loud as the .5 ohm

they are 1 ohm stable and the wiring would suggest .5 ohm. it was definitely LOUD. and it works fine now at 2 ohms (since i series wired it).
