Ok, so I took the passenger side door panel off futzed around with the speaker, didn't change anything at all. Speakers both sound better already, maybe a tiny bit of distortion, but if I put pressure on the cone with my finger it sounds way better, did I potentially buy a pair of already blown...

I have an 04 dodge ram 1500, everything is stock except the two 6x9s in the front doors that I just installed. Kenwood kfc-6966R, turned system on and they sound horribly scratchy / distorted / muffled / blown at any volume and any bass or treble settings.. ram doesn't have infinity sound system...
