The Basslink is powered by a red power cable running form the battery to the sub. The Kenwood was hooked up to the sub thru two rca cables and a remote turn on cable. Could the Kenwood be locked for security?

I installed an Inifinity Basslink 200 watt powered subwoofer. After hooking everything up and trying it, the Head Unit which is a Kenwood, will not turn on. Seems like it's not getting any power. Checked all the fuses everywhere. Could I have fried it? What else can I do to troubleshoot...
