i have the pdx-5... it drives a set of jl c5-650 comps and a jl 12w3v3 without complaint... it's small and fits in one of the cargo trays in the hatch of my mazda3... judging from my birthsheet (and those that others have posted in various forums) they seem to be about 30% underrated... not...

why would expect rich "base" from the bose? i'm not going to do the usual "bose sucks", etc. routine, but it's safe to say that bose systems aren't exactly known for their bass...

not to go ot, but there's a bit more to imprint than time correction... imo (and only imo), if i had a 9887, i'd rent the kit for $50 from crutch (i'm assuming they are still doing the "buy it and return it" option) and play with it for a month... but that's just me... i'm far from an...

having been a long time hydrogenaudio member, i would agree that people should visit there... some might have to check some long held beliefs at the door though...

i had an entire car stolen while it was in for some work at a dealership (infiniti)... from right in front of the showroom window... don't know about other states (i'm in new jersey), but unless it specifically states that they ARE liable, they aren't... the only way they would be liable here...

fwiw, i have a x001 in one car and a x100 in another... i've only had the x100 for a few weeks, so there may be a couple things i'm missing, but here goes... the only "big" ui difference is with the knob... when you push it, it acts as the "enter" button rather than the "search" button...

well, you have to make up your mind here, do you want to keep the 2 amps or not? if you are going to go to one amp, then yea, the single amp sure won't push a w7, but there are any number of subs out there that will be more than happy with 300 watts and sound real good in a small sealed box...

what jl comps do you have? if you want to reduce the footprint of the sub (and it's amp), yet still have something that sounds good and gets reasonably loud if necessary, i have a 12w3v3 running off the sub channel of a pdx-5 and it seems to work pretty well (c5-650's active off the other...

now that amused me... sadly enough, it's correct...

fwiw, the 12w3v3 works good... blends in nicely with the fronts... plenty of boom for the job... sounds good... it was a good choice... it gets the mono channel of a pdx-5... doesn't seem to be lacking for juice... i'm happy... for now, anyway... i sure would have liked the w6...

yea, i'm aware that there's other options... for me, this falls under the category of "go with what i know"... i'm comfortable with the jl subs, i know what i'm going to get from them, and he gave me a reasonable price... i know one of these days i need to venture outside of my comfort...
