thanx guys i know alot of people dont like boss amps but I got a riot 1500 on ebay cheap. it says 800w rms and 1500w peak @ 2 ohms. im assuming those numbers are slightly inflated. hopefully the rms is somewhere around 600. im gonna keep using the L5 and switch it to a 2 ohm load.

my headunit doesnt have rca outputs (dont ask) So I spliced rca jacks onto the inputs as well. So long as the connections are good and the wires are isolated from one another you should be just fine.
