Don't have the center console. Bad idea to mount cross-overs in the doors? Yes , I have never done this before.lol. Not sure where I would put them otherwise.

Picked up a set of Polk DB651s for my 2005 Chevy crew cab and want to get a set of 6501s for the front replacements. will I have to make new holes for the tweeters or will the stock location work? Where is the best place to mount the cross-overs for this application? Thanks.

Ok, so eliminate the Kenwood and what would be the best choice between the eclipse and the alpine?? I do want to use an I-pod nano thru the system.

Well I talked with a tech guy at best buy and he said to make sure it isn't the head unit as delco units are know for faile channels. sure enough both rear channels ar dead now so it sounds like a complete overhaul.

My doors have the mesh grille in them. are these the ones your talking about...
