    in my opinion XTANT's are the cleanest amps you can get........mckintosh is up there, the JL's actually sound real good too.

    Im powering one 1241D in a sealed box with a Xtant 301a, I know its a little out of your pricerange, but you might be able to find one if you look around, its absolutely the cleanest bass I have ever heard.
