Alright I'll jam the rest in there. Just figured it works because the fibers absorb some of the wave's energy and thus simulates a bigger box. But because its crammed so tight it doesn't seem as if the fibres could move at all!

The only time I've seen speakers give up is the ones with thin foam surrounds, especially stock speakers in cars. The UV gets to them. I've seen a couple of 10s go due to this which were in home audio. But they were 20 years old anyway.

Yeah the rl-ps have some real real strange T/S parameters. For example, cross calculating their sensitivity is way off by using the Fs/Qts etc. Also box modeling with software shows the drivers are absolute poo with F3s well above 70Hz. Maybe they got them wrong? Because the RL-Ps are highly...
