Yeah, I tried it with the door latch in the "up" position (to simulate closed door) and with the door (all doors/hatch) actually closed - neither of them worked. I still think it's interesting that using the key to lock to the door will activate the factory alarm, but manually pushing it down...

I'm in the exact same situation as you and have duplicated everything you've mentioned here exactly. I also found that using the GRY/RED wire for unlock, when cut, will trigger all the doors to lock. When joined together again, nothing happens, when pulsed with ground, all doors unlock. AND...
