    JL "Engineered Connection Systems"

Im not looking to match, maybe the RCAs, but thats about it...I was just wondering, because I haven't seen any them for sale. Most of the stereo shops in my area have Phoenix Gold, others have Stinger, and the larger retail places like Good Guys have Monster Cable.

Does anyone know of a place online that sells JL's Engineered Connection System stuff (RCAs, Power Cable, Distribution blocks, ect.)?

    Eclipse 8443 v 8053

If you run the 8053 with the bla, you need twice as many RCAs, each channel has an input and output. And if your gonna be running the bla you want high quality RCAs so theres your $100 you saved being spent on more RCAs.

    sub weight

Before I transfered my stereo out of my '77 Bronco and into my jeep, I had two 12" W7s that weighed a little over 45 pounds, both were in sealed boxes hat weighed over 50 pounds a piece, then the two 1000/1s in a amp rack were right behind them. It say there was close to 300 pounds in my cargo...

    Question

Use a well designed ported box and you might feel something...Eventually save your money and upgrade.

    AHH... Please help. Anyone!!

Agreed, having the gain all the way up is a death sentence for your subs.

    xtant or w6

Agreed...Id go with the W6. Were you looking at the X or A series xtant subs? If space is an issue, definitly go with a W6 (very small enclosure requirements)

    Type r vs. jl 6wv2

Taken From JLs Website: "Ported Enclosure Range: 1.25-1.75 cu.ft. (35.4-49.5 liters)" Your box is on the low end, any chance you can get/build a box thats at least 1.5 cu.ft./chamber?

    Type r vs. jl 6wv2

A 1.2 cu. ft. ported box would suit a w6v2 very well. personally I feel that the W6v2 would be a much better choice for SQ. If you want sound quality either save up for the two W6v2s, you'll be very happy with them.

Jl 12w7 & re 12 XXX, and still not happy

You are probably overpowering the W7, but thats probably not the case. I am running a JL 1000/1 to mine and it slams. With that said, how good is your charging system? the 1000/1 has a regulated power supple so i'm pushing 1000 watts at a wide range of voltages. the PG will start dropping output...
