I did make a new box, came out to 0.80 at 35.2 hz still using the same piece of 3in for port, its doin work now lol.. But now the bug is getting me cause im thinking hard on getting another sa8 to hopefully get it where i want it.....

Ok so im about to build a new box for the sa8, have been sitting over the steering wheel for months now, i have a single cab chevy with the buckets and non moving console, the box i took out was a tad over a cube, with a 3in pvc port, sounded ok but sometimes heard the spider hitting the cone...

Thanks, you guys are very helpful, and your right, with this 3in port it pushes out a ton of air, almost seems like it would have to be choking the sub its soo much air coming from the port, when i first built the box i guessed a bit on the port length and it was a tad too long i came out tuned...

I have yet to try a 4in port, been pretty busy, but have a couple questions about this 3in port, it gets decently loud in the cab, its actually flexing everything in the truck and really beating up my back but its not really all that loud for all the damage it seems like its doing, why would it...

The box i mentioned above seems to be getting pretty loud, i can put a plastic cd case over the port and it will nearly destroy it, im wondering if i should bump up to a 4in port?

Yea, so i guess its doing its job the way it is, my box is right at 1 cu ft, and so far everyone thinks there is a pair of good tens or twelves behind the seat, had a guy looking for more subs in the truck last night lol, he was like no wayy..

I have one built now, i used a 3in pvc port, its a short wedge, i have it tuned to 30hz, does anyone know if a 4in port would make a difference or even bringing the tuning up? It hits pretty hard down low, but not soo much on anything over around 45hz

I will get you guys some pics later, but i finally have my 8 in the truck, and dam im suprised, its in a box i built for behind the seat that is 0.85 cubes and tuned at 30hz, 3in round port, the thing slams hard.. Thanks spl..

Hate to see people lose business, but it seems that alot of people use this site to find the right help, and as far as i can see most people on here are not going to point fingers to skar when people ask about a good product or company... SUNDOWN=good...
