Can anyone tell me if its safe (or even worth) powering this sub with 750w RMS cos I wanna buy the amp now.

So you're telling me that I safe to put 750w rms to the sub which is only rated at 600w rms? Can you please explain.

So I have just purchased my first subwoofer. It is a KICKER 10" SOLO BARIC 06S10L7-4. with it being dual 4 ohm voice coil I am going to need an amp which is 2ohm stable yes?? The RMS on this sub is 600w. What amp would you guys recommend, I was looking at an Alpine MRD-M605 (600w rms @ 2ohm)...

Yeah I had it connected properly and there was no fuses blown, I metered the terminals and had power there, there was just no light on the amp. Does anyone know of a way to test to see if the amp is fried. I dont want to have to buy a new amp if I can get this one to work. Thanks

So I now know why he gave me this stuff. The sub is blown(scratching sound when cone is pushed in) I hooked the sub up to my Clarion amp and it sounded like it was full of smashed glass, oh well I'll have to buy another. I was more worried about if the amp worked or not so I unhooked the power...
