I've always sealed svc subs and ported dvc subs. It's just ones opinion, and had no problem doing it this way. Apparently u guys have and there's nothing wrong with that either, if it worked.
david said he was sry for not metioning the vehicle and trunk dimensions, so i replied no worries
SVC= single voice coil on the sub. i would not recommend porting svc coil.
no worries. being that those subs are SVC, i would definetly go with a sealed box. just sitting here playing with some numbers, 28x10x7 will get u to around 1.13cuft before displacement. those subs call for .35cuft per. hope this helps or atleast gives u starting point.
thanks man. i ran that amp on their 18 when i competed. bought a new truck and sold the sub, and now im kinda itching to slowly get back in it, but i want a second amp.
i bought an AQ 2200 a few yrs back and im thinking i want another but they seemed to been bought out by sound quebed. my question- are these the same amps with a different company logo? thx in advance
I use to compete in MECA with 2 type r 15's on 6K. I tuned my box high and built it twice as big as the subs called for for SPL. For everyday playing they need to be tuned lower.
