So after doing some research on this... My sub is dual 1 ohm, meaning i can run it at 2 ohms or .5 ohms.. If im incorrect please correct me.. So being that, could i wire down to .5 ohms on my amp, since my amp will never actually see .5 unless its not playing.. Or will this hurt the sub? Since...

So you dont think either of the amps i posted other than the 2400 will do at least 1500 at 2 ohms if proper electrical is there? Well thats disappointed since they're all rated at 1600 rms @ 2 ohms... currently i have a ported box that is right around 2.5 cu ft... it is a prefab but not some...

After some searching i have also found these two other amps.. All rated at 1600 rms at 2 ohms.. You guys are the smart ones so please advise me to which one would be the best decision.. I know i need to do electrical upgrades first but those will come in the very near future so please help me...

I understand it could take more than what the amp puts out and thats why i am weary.. Thats why i am on the fence about getting the hifonics since it is rated at 1600 rms at 2 ohms.. So then i would have more than enough power for the sub rather than starving it which is what i feel this skar...

I know that you sellin this so you might be biased towards it.. But i am looking to buy the Hifonics BRX2400.1D, to push my 12 inch fi ssd.. Im wondering if you think your amp would be a better way to go since they wouuld fall around the same price...

Im sorry not the old one.. But i think even with out upgrading to big 3 plus battery, that with the hifonics i would be squeezing out more power.. without hopefully killing all of my electric.. I dont know, I have never really gone to into depth with my systems.. Usually worry about performance...

so you guys are saying no to the Hifonics BRX2400.1D which is rated at 1600 rms at 2 ohms; as opposed to my amp the autotek m4000.1d which is rated at 1000 rms at 2 ohms.

m4000 only allows for 4 gauge wiring, where as the hifonics ask for 1/0.. I have yet to do the big 3, battery is stock, alternator is stock.. Rather not spend a big chunk of money on an amp.
