    Sounds like you have no power through the remote wire. Make sure you wired it correctly. Sometimes you'll have a blue/white and a blue wire, the solid blue isn't always the remote lead from the head unit.

    +1 on the filter being on. Basically it means your amp won't play notes below a certain frequency, and those really deep bass hits you're looking for are in the low frequency range.
