2 ALPINE SWR-1242D and what do u mean should I not put that knob up

I need an amp(s) for two 12" type r's with the right rms power output. I have a refurb rockford fosgate T1500-1bd CLASS D with 500 watt rms x1 at 2 ohm. Do you think this is the right amp... I've gone through to many amps blowing shorting etc... I can't spend any more money and I need something...
