In my opnion, just because you've heard somethin 3 or 4 times dosn't give you the right to rag the hell out of them. I also TOO have heard an authorized dealer put to 12 inch L7's in a ported box with a 1200.1 hooked up to it and they sounded ****in awesome. The same with their L5's as well...

The highest DB's come in the frequency range of 40-45 Hz because the cone is moving back and forth the fastest at those frequencies. That's why most manufacturers make bass boost that center between those frequencies.......except for maybe audiobahn shit which places their boost at 50hz to be...

Hell yes they underrate their amps, you will atleast be getting 1100 RMS out of one of those and possibly more.

Theres a bunch of good threads if you search this forum and the amp forum. I was going to buy one then I read reviews that it produces "fake bass", so I decided not too.

I second the 8W7........but.........it's a proven fact that some guys took ONE 8 Inch either L5 or L7 and put it in a tiny ported box and it hit I THINK somewhere between 135-145 DBs. It was on Kicker website but I read this like 5 months ago. So I'd say thats pretty **** good for an 8.
