Ive never had a problem with bass boost.. but ive also got a mtx TA92001 on 3 15" 9500s .. bass boost never killed my subs.. y is that? as long as you get the right amp for the right subs you dont have to worry.. my amp is 3000 watts RMS and 6000 Max.. all 3 subs are 1000 RMS a piece and 2000...
