info on old school RF crossover cards

I've been searching the internet for this, but since Rockford Fosgate calls their new model the same exact thing as the old model its frustrating and difficult to find information on older models.. maybe someone can point me in the right direction. I've found this old school RF punch 400.4, for...

    series and parallel electrical theory

Right, thanks. That was my argument my friend was trying to say that he basically could double the power the sub sees if he wired in series because the same power was going through both coils and "being used twice" and I failed to explain why that wasn't how it worked.

    series and parallel electrical theory

So if I had a 2000w d1 sub I could power it with 2000w at .5 ohms in parallel or 1000w at 2 ohms in series? Because each coil is going to see the same 1000w and power it adequately?

    series and parallel electrical theory

So I've always used series and parallel of wiring subs to control resistance. So I can wire a 4 ohm dvc sub to be a 2 or 8 ohm load. So the argument I had was about maximizing power output from a theoretical amplifier rated at 1000rms at 2 ohms and 600@8. I argued to wire the sub in parallel to...

    is bigger better?

So I mapped them out on winisd, I got a lot of info but didn't answer my question. The difference between 1.3 and 1.7 is only that 1.7s response curve (and spl curve) has slightly higher (+1dB) at the tuning freq peak and similar everywhere else. Cone excursion all seems fine when compared to...

Help wiring up 2 subs to a mono amp

a dual 1 ohm voice coil sub wired in series would be a 2 ohm load. Then each sub in parallel would be a 1 ohm load on the amp. Two D1s can be wired at .25 ohm, 1 ohm, or 4 ohm on a monoblock. Two D2s can be wired at .5 ohm, 2 ohm or 8 ohm.

    is bigger better?

I'm building a box for my pioneer champion series pro 10" ts-w2502d4 rated 800 rms recommended sealed enclosure .6 cu ft. Up to 1.2 cu ft ported (.9 ideal) according to pioneer. They have a high Qts of .74 which I've read means they're suited for sealed but I've always had ported and plan to go...

    electrical upgrade?

I have two pioneer champion series pro 10" ts-w2502d4. Rated 800 RMS each. I'm looking at ordering the hifonics brx2400.1d because of how inexpensive it is ($230), I know that it's a lot of headroom but that leaves a lot of room to upgrade subs later. My last system was two diamond d3 12"s (400...
