Thanks for your input. I'm trying to make sure I do the wiring correctly during the restoration of my 1971 Maserati ghibli SS.

I should have mentioned that the cable had red (positive) and clear (negative) wires connected directly to the speaker spade terminals.

The speakers for my Becker radio have a copper braided shield that is grounded to the chassis of the rear speakers. However, a previous owner installed an aftermarket radio and butchered the speaker connections at the radio. Any idea what the copper braided wire should be connected to at the...
