I was looking at a Jensen VM9312. Don't really need anything too high end. It will go in my wife's minivan, mostly to keep the kids entertained while on long road trips (vacations, etc.)

I am new to the caraudio forum. Forgive me if this is a dumb question. I am looking at an in-dash vvideo reciever. In doing research I learned that there is a 'feature' that disables video unless the parking brake is engaged. Is this common to all in-dash recievers? If so, can it be bypassed?
