ok but if i get the bamf 5500, it says it puts out 1700 rms at 4 ohms. my spg can only handle 1000 so how can i set it with a dmm to set the gain correctly?

true but the bamf5500 puts out 1700 watts on 4ohms and thats a little much. and as for the diamond audio amp it only puts 1000 watts on 1ohm. mine is 4ohms

I have a 4ohm Boston SPG 555 which handles 1000 watts RMS. Im thinking about buying a Power Acoustik Demon 4000 amp which has 1200 watts RMS at 4ohms. I understand 1200 watts is too much power for this sub, but Power Acoustik tends to overrate their amps... So my question is, will this amp push...
