Pulled the fiberglass forms from my doors tonight. The fleece was too thick so I had to paint another layer of resin on the back side but I was really pleased with how they came out. And easily too. The masking tape worked wonders and these babies popped out pretty easily. This is proving...

I mean the grill that comes with the speakers. If the speaker is 6-5/8 then is the grill just a hair bigger? Or is it right at 6-5/8? Or is at like 7"? By grill I mean the cover, the protector, lotta times, it;s a larger outside. dim. Ben.

I had the same issue. Even the Focal U. 5.25's wouldnt fit in the 5.25 holes. So i changed directions. Now Im going with a 2 way set up consisting of HLCD under dash.....ID Cd-2Comps and 6.5 or better midbass in lower door, either ID CX62 orsome other 2 ohm midbass driver.

Aren't the Focals 4ohm speakers? Meaning that they would only milk 50 watts per side out of a 100watt @2ohm amp. Dont you want a 100x2@4ohm to get 100 watts per side which would be right in the middle of nominal and max. Or you could be crazy and get a 200x2@4ohm for some real juice!
