This says that the Pioneer DEH-P4000UB has a front USB input, yet it's not there on the picture... Is it actually there? Also, I was talking to a guy on the live chat on crutchfield.com and he recommended these for my back speakers. And for crutchfield, there price is very nice. He said that...

My friend actually reccommended I get the Pioneer DEH-P5000UB, but since the 4000 is cheaper, I might just get that. Also, he said that these would be good for speakers: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=17100...

How does trunk space effect sound? I have a large trunk (compared to some that I've seen that are really small, so in reality it might be normal sized, but for the sake of conversation lets just say it's large ) Would one sub woofer do the trick? Also, I need to start looking for head units...

One more question... Why will stock speakers work without an amp, but new speakers need an amp?

I don't think that amp would be able to power subs and speakers... in which case, I would need some other type of amp though. Any ideas as to what?

This seem good?: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=19251 I DO have a friend that goals to school for car stuff, (since I couldn't do this all alone) and I'd let him help me out, but the last time I did he cut some factory wires on my stereo (long story). He...

Oh, and I should have asked about what type of amp to get... A mono, multi, or 2-channel.

Any specific suggestions?... I feel I would do better if someone gave me a starting point that I could use as a base to compare other amps to, yaknow?

Well, since I will be spending around 100 on the sub, I guess I could go as high as 300, but I'm not sure if I'd need something at that price range.

Alright, so now I need to find an amp to go with the sub (not sure how many channels I will need) and speakers. Again, any brands that are known to be good?

Yes, I would like to hear the music, but I also really want a nice loud bass as well. I'm ready to spend around a grand on everything, including installation. I figured I would buy the sub first, or pick one out at least so that I could buy an amp to match it. Then I would get some speakers...

Yeah, thanks a lot. It really does help.... So here is an Alpine type-r 15" I believe: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=14957 So do the specs seem to fit the price? (this site was recommended to me by a friend, if there are better sites, I'd love to know)...

I have a 1988 Mercedes Benz 300E... I'd be willing to sacrifice as much as I need to do have the best quality. I can get a picture of the trunk if that would even help.

So, I can't imagine how many threads you guys have seen about people that don't know a thing about purchasing subs/amps, like me. But I figure one more couldn't hurt. I mainly listen to techno (eurodance to name a specific genre), and rap/hip-hop. I also do listen to some alternative rock...
