    What went wrong here?

Dipped into the 20's at the coldest. Do amps really sweat and pop sometimes? Never heard of that one before but I guess I could see it. Any way to prevent this sort of thing?

    What went wrong here?

Not sure the proper terminology for this but since the amp was a 2 channel I ran the left side speakers into the amp with the positives and negatives twisted together and stuffed into the same hole on the amp. (ie twisted the two positive wires together and put it in a single hole on the amp...

    What went wrong here?

Its a diesel truck with dual batteries and it has grid heaters with a huge draw when cold and warming up so it may have dropped to around 10.5-11 volts for about 10 seconds then back up to over 14 and back and forth like this for a minute or two max. I haven't been running my subs since August...

    What went wrong here?

I have been using a Boston GT2125 amp for about 8 months now and suddenly I'm having trouble. Last month or two when starting the car I'd get a humm for a second or two then a loud pop and no music. I could turn the car off and restart it and usually it would be fine. Happened maybe 3-4 times...

Good quality 2 channel to run my Type X PRO 6.5's?

Looking for a nice quality amp to run my 6.5 Type X PRO's. I don't want a low quality garbage amp, but I don't need the absolute best. Something in the higher end range around 100 watts RMS is what I'm looking for. Any suggestions? I'm considering these. Boston Acoustics GTA-802 Boston...

Alpine Type X Pro SPX-17PRO, no serial numbers? Bought from authorized dealer.

On the who under the what now? I think maybe you mean under the caps on teh bottoms of the speakers? They don't appear to come off. I looked around some more, and all I can find that sounds like alpines alpha-numeric code is 2 different numbers on the small plastic parts bags. Ones got screws...

Alpine Type X Pro SPX-17PRO, no serial numbers? Bought from authorized dealer.

I was trying to register my new speakers on alpines website, and they make it out that they are huge on putting serial numbers on everything, yet I can't find any for these speakers? This was purchased from an authorized dealer (the company has multiple Chicago locations as authorized dealer...

Help out this stupid noob please. Speakers, amp, and headunit for my 99 ram 3500???

So if I got those CDT's, what do I need to buy to make the 6.5 fit in a 6x9 opening? Will I be able to keep it under the door skin still?

Help out this stupid noob please. Speakers, amp, and headunit for my 99 ram 3500???

This was the main unit I had my eye on actually. I like everything about it except the bottom part when its open is kinda ugly to me. Price is hard to pass up though. Also really liking that Crescendo 1000C4 mentioned above. Thinking I'd like to spend a lil more money on some components for...

Help out this stupid noob please. Speakers, amp, and headunit for my 99 ram 3500???

I was eyeballing some of the 7" touch screens in the ~$500 range. I don't care about navi (have it built into my cell phone if and when I need it and a tom tom), but I want blue tooth, a descent quality screen, and descent audio controls. I'd probably be happy with a non flip out screen head...

Help out this stupid noob please. Speakers, amp, and headunit for my 99 ram 3500???

After looking around a lil I was thinking maybe something like this, plus some speakers for the back, and whatever head unit I go with. Fronts - Boston Acoustics pro60se Rears - Something in the ~$100 price range? Amp - Infinity Reference 475a (will this be enough? Also looking at Infinity...

Help out this stupid noob please. Speakers, amp, and headunit for my 99 ram 3500???

This is for my 99 ram 3500 quad cab with the stock infinity sound system, 6X9's in the front doors, 5 1/4 in the back, or the rears will fit 6 1/2's with a lil work I hear. Depth on the front is pretty good, can fit most anything I hear, backs are so so, trying to get exact measurements on depth...
