Have you tried sound deadener? I was surprised how much difference it made on my old set up.

I think USACI has an event coming up. It may be on the opposite end of the state from you, though. I think MECA has an event in Elizabethtown on 6-11-11. FCBC is fun, but it is smaller and only in KY - not a bad place to get your feet wet. I don't have the three organizations websites' on hand...
