Hello, my fellow bassheads,
Im going to say something that most people can't, I truly feel blessed. I own and operate a successful Car Audio Shop, I knew what I wanted to do for a living since 12 yrs old. My father was an Installer for 38yrs, I remember helping him build a v-wall in his econoline van for 16 12's, I remember it making my sisters hair fly and I was hooked. 15yrs ago I decided to enroll in to Installer institute, I got a assistant manager position at circuit city road shop, right out of graduating school I also got my MECP certification. I know that im doing exactly what im supposed to be doing and I love it. If you are wanting to be involved with car audio, its not always fun, it has taken me 20+ yrs to get where im at, and I still have taken refresher courses, because these vehicles are always changing, but there's nothing more gratifying than hearing your first install that actually sounds great. Also by building your first enclosure or even just running your wiring through the vehicle properly, some people don't realize how important that is. If you like engine noise or alternator whine than wiring isn't important, but I hate any noise coming from my system except for music without distortion. I didn't think using o.f.c. wiring was that important ,but I promise you it does, especially if its a sound quality build.
