make sure the ground wire in still tightly intact while the subs are doing its thang it could be loosening up the ground wire and that would make the subs cut out and not make the amp go into protect mode
with the subs being in the kicker box its going to be more then likey that the subs will hit perfectly with the set up u are going to run but hey if its not buy a bigger amp and sell the amp on ebay!!
i have a z-71 and i had my subs faced out toward the front of the truck and didnt like them so now i have them face down towards the bottom of the truck and they hit really hard
