oh ok. so bare speaker wire is ok? no banana clips needed for the voice coils?

i'm trying to connect my two 4ohm voice coils together to get 2 ohms. Should i use bare wire or something else when wiring the sub?

I wasn't tightening any screw. I was wiring the voice coils to each other, not to the box. There is no screw for that....

I had my sub wired up and i went to pull out a wire from the voice coil and it was gone. It was shredded where the sub holds the wire (not sure what the technical term is). Am i doing something wrong? Should i solder the end to reinforce the wire?

Depends what you want out of your sub and what amp you have powering it. I had one and it surprised me for the price but mine blew within a few weeks (probably because I had it overpowered). But for an entry level sub, I personally think it's good.

I have a Rockford Fosgate P3D2-12 sub and im looking for a box. It says i can have 1.25 cubic feet max for a box. if i buy a box that is 1.3 cubic feet should i be ok? and what does more or less space do to the sound of the sub? Thanks
