    need 5.25"s and 6x9s

Well, Stupid question.. is that link for 1 or 2? I would think they would sell speakers in pairs, but I have been wrong before. What would you suggest for the 6x9s?

    need 5.25"s and 6x9s

It is a 2000, your parents car likely was modded to handle the 6.5s as no stock Grand Prix from 97-03 came with 6.5s up front. I am not sure what you mean by drop ins, but would this be what I am looking for? http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=910

    need 5.25"s and 6x9s

Well, I'm assuming any aftermarket speakers will sound like crap powered by the stock h/u so I will use an amp, does that change the suggestions?

    need 5.25"s and 6x9s

I am looking for suggestions, I presented my own ideas a couple months ago but realized I should probably just listen to what those who actually know what they are doing have to say. Here is my situation. I drive a pontiac grand prix I have 2 5.25 inch components up front and 2 6x9"s in the...

How is this for a budget system?

So what would you guys think of this alternative. Profile AP1040 (4x80W) 2 PG RSD5cs (80W each) up front 2 Pioneer REV TS-D901P 6" X 9" in the back (also 80W). The Rev's go down to 25 hz and review very well. Debating between them and Infinity Kappa which review well, and supposedly have...

Tang Band 6x9 subs (which one?)

Is that it, with the same Amp would they both sound the same?

How is this for a budget system?

I am gonna have to look into that, and start looking into alternatives for the Tang Bands if necessary. Another random question - Is there any CD or something that can test various frequencys to measure how low a system can get? Or something to help measure clarity at various frequencys? I...

How is this for a budget system?

well, I want what will sound best and I don't presume to know what that is. If the bass of 2 way 6x9s (quick searches here seem to identify infinity kappa and the Rev series as the best bass for 6x9s). If it will sound better all around with that I will do it. Although Brougham seems to say...

How is this for a budget system?

Well, the PG RSD 5cs is a component system. Do you mean individually purchasing the components or expanding upon the RSD? Either way, if you can give me a good suggestion I'll certainly consider it. Also, not sure what IB means. As for the 6x9s, I am reading that the rears are also used for...

How is this for a budget system?

budget is about $300, I know it is not much but I am trying to get the best I can at that level. As for a sub in the trunk, I don't have the room for it. I have a huge trunk, but I use my car for work and have almost 0 space when it is full. Adding subs while nice would just be irresponsible...

How is this for a budget system?

Adding yet another question. I was told to run off a stock HU I will need high level inputs, does the Profile AP1040 have this? If not, is there any converter avail, or am I going to need to look elsewhere? Thanks again.

Tang Band 6x9 subs (which one?)

Also, would I experience any problems in putting these in the rear deck of my car? It is a pontiac grand prix if that affects

Tang Band 6x9 subs (which one?)

I am looking at these two, is the more expensive one worth the price difference? http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=264-837 http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=264-864 Specifications as given: Specifications: Power Handling: 90 watts RMS/170 watts max...

How is this for a budget system?

I have looked into 6x9 speakers in case the 6x9 Sub is not doable, would I be correct in assuming 2 way 6x9s would have much much less bass than a 6x9 subwoofer? I know this is probably a stupid question, but I really am clueless as far as all of this goes. As for putting 6.5s in the 5.25...

How is this for a budget system?

unfortunately I am not a position to be able to add any subwoofers into the trunk. Hence looking at the 6x9" subwoofers. I know that simple physics says they won't ever be able to be as good a sub in the trunk, but just trying to make the most out of the limitations I have been presented with.
