Was told by a reputable installer who sells alpine that their circuit boards are poorly engineered, and are not of a good quality. He preferred eclipse, clarion and Panasonic for overall perfomance and quality. He has been in the business for 15 plus years. Maybe you know otherwise. Let me know

My Amp is an Mobile Authority 300Wx2 powering two MA 6x9's. All connections are clean and tight, including the ground which is bolted onto a clean section of the frame of my 98 Achieva. I work on electronocs everyday. It's my part time job, but The amp was working fine with another head unit...

I have the gains all the way down, and I get distortion through all of front and rear speakers, indicating that letting this baby sit unplugged for over a year was not a good idea. I may take it apart and check the capacitors. What do you think?

I work in electronis service and sales. It sounds as though you have an internal electronic problem which may be quite costly to repair. I would consider either sending in to the company for repair, or replacing the unit.

Like panasonic. Always had good luck with them, offer a lot of good features, broad range for sound, and a good sound quality. My first choice for head units.

Installed new 300x2 Amplifier. Now I have sound distortion if volume level goes past level of 20. ANy clue as to what needs to change? Used preouts.

Give specifics for why YOU believe that eclipse is the best, and how long you believe that to be true.

Hooked up new Amp to pre-out on my Panasonic Head unit. Now when volime exceeds level of 20, there is a lot of distortion. Anyone had a similar problem? Unit is older. Model # CQ-DP830U.

How Much is Chead

Have had a pansonic Head unit since 1995. Has great audio quality, and plays eerything! Great stuff. Looking forward to my next panasonic purchase. Looking at DFX710 right now. Would love the DVD in dash, but tough to spend that much.

Curious inquiry as to why you selected the two you did, but I prefer Panasonic because of my history with their products, the fullness of their sound, and their ease of use. Good stuff.
