My 500/1 got in a fight with a metal toolbox and acquired a nice deep war gash across the top. Looking for a broken 500/1 (or just the metal cover) to replace mine. Only needed for aesthetic purposes, so it has to look good and doesn't need to function what so ever. Let me know what you've got!

Thanks for the recommendation trumpet. I'll definitely be investigating the CDTs more. Not sure how I feel about the imaging tweeter mounting location yet, but not ruling them out. If anyone has first hand experience with both the Hertz and CDT speakers, I would love to hear your impressions...

I got quoted about $700 from a local Hertz dealer. Was originally going to go through WoofersETC, but a few thread I've read have left me slightly paranoid about getting fake Hertz's. Which CDTs would you recommend? It looks like the CL642s and HD642s are in the same price range as the Hertz...

My friend had an X in his car and the coils ended up melting onto one another (according to the shop he goes to). He bought a new X to replace it and wants to get rid of this one. He said it works fine unless you turn it up and the amp goes into protect. Its a dual 4. One coil is reading 3...

well my rears are already crossed over for tweeters and a "mid" speaker. and yeah i can use an inline crossover. my rears are blown (except for tweeters). fronts are perfect.

I am lookin' to replace my rear door speakers with a midrange driver. I was thinking about either mounting them in the stock location or on the rear deck. I'd like to power them off my monsoon amp if possible, but if not lmk. 6.5" or 8"? which midrange driver would you recommend? advice please.

Hey I just picked up a JL 12W3v1 and I am wondering what type of enclosure I should put it in. I will be running it at 2ohms, my amp puts out 600WRMS@2 ohms, but I wasn't planning on giving it more than 400WRMS. Will be going in a VW Jetta. Thanks
