    How bad are these caps?

    Those caps look fine to me.. The heat deforms the plastic tops over time. Nothing to worry about. Now if you can't push the top of the caps down flat, and they feel like the metal under the top has puffed up. Or if they are leaking they should be replaced..

    Probably would be alright. As long as your subs are dual 4 ohm wired down to 1 ohm. 1500 watts would be more than the subs are rated for. (600 watts each)

    All the Usamps 1000x amps i've seen are all 2 ohm stable. Not sure why yours says 1ohm. Typo?

    It would be worth fixing it yourself. Where are the popped caps located? near the pos/negative terminals? You could try and replace just the capacitors that have popped. You may get lucky..You may not. The power supply transistors could be fried. Most amps do have reverse polarity protection...
