    Best speaker for a convertible?

I have a Porsche Boxster, and I have: Pioneer DEX-P9R + DEQ-P9R HU+processor Butler TDB 475 (75W x 4 amp) Dynaudio MW160 + MD130 (running active) Doors sound deadened with Dynamat Extreme This is an absolute killer system with a lot of bass. There is a big difference in sound with the top...

What are the top headunits out there?

It makes a heck of a difference! I too was skeptical, until I changed my McIntosh MX406 for a Pioneer P9 Combo. Incredible. The Mac 406 is probably more detailed, but the P9 has much better bass and sweeter mids. And you can tune it to do almost anything.

    Butler vs. US Amps

Yeh thanks for that squeak :P I've heard a Milbert setup - 35W x 2. Nowhere near enough balls to drive my front stage. I don't have the money to go for an all-tube setup in the car so the hybrids will have to do for now!

    Butler vs. US Amps

Review of the Butler? I can't do that because the only amp which has been in my car since install is the Butler! I've got nothing to compare it to apart from my old car, but that's not fair since the stereo in my old car was nowhere as good as my current setup - Blaupunkt HU + Alpine V12 amp +...

    Butler vs. US Amps

Thanks for your recommendations. All of you seem to think the US Amps is the better choice. Besides being able to mod it, why do you think it's better? In what way does it sound different? I'd like to know, because my preference in music might be a bit different to yours I actually already own...

    Butler vs. US Amps

Thanks Gnab2. Do you know if the US Amps amp is bridgable? BTW, the price difference between the two amps is negligible (they are both secondhand). You would still choose the US Amps?

    Butler vs. US Amps

I have a choice between a secondhand Butler TDB 475 and a US Amps TU 4360 vacuum hybrid amp. I know that specs can only tell you so much, but here we go anyway: US Amps AXTU-4360 75W x 4 @ 4 Ohms 100W x 4 @ 2 Ohms Are these bridgeable? The website does not say! Butler TDB 475 75W x 4 @ 4...

    p9 combo

Since I have not heard your 860, I can't comment The DEQ-P9 certainly gives you the ability to bi-amp your speakers if you wanted to. I haven't done so yet though (not enough channels on my amp).

    p9 combo

It's nothing to look at to be honest. The amp and processor sit under a false floor in the front boot. The speakers are stealthed into the factory location. The only evidence of any sort of audio is the silver HU which sticks out of the black factory dash like the dogs balls! Car is a Porsche...

    p9 combo

I have the P9 combo. I started off my current install with a Mac MX-406, then got to try a Kenwood KCD-01 while I was waiting for my P9 combo to arrive. System was a Butler TDB-475 amp driving Dynaudio speakers. Is it easy to tune? Well yes and no. Features like time alignment is very easy. The...
