The powertrax is a good unit but the locking mechanism is a little harsh, I don't know anything about the eaton.
The powertrax just slips in the stock carrier where the spider gears went, they are easy to install.
Format, re-install, install drivers, update windows. That will eliminate any softaware issues, if it still messes up after that then you have a hardware issue.
Can I get one with short wires since the battery is 3 feet away from the sub, or do they sell bare wire? Is 4 gauge enough for that amp you linked to and a MB Quart 4125?
I might go with the setup in bold, what kind of wiring do I have to run to support it? Where is the best place to get wiring supplies? thanks for all the help
I don't have a ton of room since the fuel cell and battery are also in the trunk. I'm pretty sure two tens will fit though. Here is a pic of the whole car right now, working on getting it painted and some other finishing details.
It will be in a 1975 Pontiac LeMans. I would like to have enough bass to make the car rattle but not an outrageous amount. I'm gonna use a 500 watt Alpine amp for the two subs. If I get two dual 4 ohm voice coil type s 10 inch subs then the amp will see a 2 ohm load and give each sub 250 watts...
