Rockford Fosgate R2-750X5 I just bought a audiocontrol converter and hopefully that will help

I have a problem with my car audio being quieter after i installed a 5 channel amp to power 4 door speakers and 1 sub. I am only using one hi level input for the signal tapping into the rear left speaker output coming from the factory headunit. Is this the cause of bad quality and quiet levels?
