thanx heaps for your help, the standard radio did't have constant power flow bcos all the presets are manual because the car is 20 years old, i cant get wiring harness here, only over the net so i'l run another wire, thanks again

im not sure, the manual says hook up one to the ignition switch and to a direct source of power, otherwise when i turn off the key i lose the settings and clock on the head unit. i have tried hooking it up to the cigarette lighter power but the same thing happens because its not powered until...

the original stereo ran just on the ignition power, i need contant power and the ignition source ive thought about jacking the power from the cigarette lighter but the wire is pretty thin

umm because they were free and better that the stock speakers, this is only a temporary setup till i can afford replacements and an amp
