    Overpowering subs?

Go with the L7...you want loud, thats what solo's give ya, I ran 10" infinity's(sealed) and kenwood 12's(bandpass) for years, I was all about SQ...Never really dabled in SPL, and if you're lookin for spl, take my advice, solo barics built to right specs are the best IMO. Im a kicker fan tho.

    Keeping the box in place.

I secured mine by making a beefy *** box and throwing a 60 lb sub in it. It was 123 lbs when I finished it. I got my carpet at home depot and it has small ribs it and kinda grips the factory carpet a lil better than most standard box carpet. I was thinking of securing mine on the two side panels...

    Understanding Boxes... and putting 2 15" L7's in a 94 Accord

One thing for sure, you are gonna need a whole lotta time to build it in car. Let the busted knuckles, cussing n swearing, newly added carpet adhesive(excess woodglue), new interior scatches from wedging tool in begin!!

    L-port! 8 cubes

The L-port uses the wall as part of the port, giving you more internal volume, if you make the port in the middle you just loose a little total internal volume.
