it has to do with the crossovers. If you look at what CDT has on their webpage, the crossovers aren't the same.

well the Mag is D2 so you'll be using the 4ohm configuration so it might not work that well. I love my mag though.

456 was one of the lower end crossover, switch to the 560 and you should be fine.

it could be that inifinity isn't that good anymore. I haven't ever been impressed with them so the result isn't suprising to me. I would check the install of the speakers and also consider if using the factory HU and/or the amp. Also give us some details as to what ***** about them.

looks like an older set of HDs with satnet 480 crossover.

actually you'll need to really sit down and listen to how the drivers perform in their locations. I assume its a 2way setup so its fairly easy to do it. You will probably spend the most time tweeking your midrange driver out. For tweeters i would try crossing over at about 3.15khz with a 12db...

why do you need 3 sets of components? What kind of car do you have that has spots for 3 sets? Are you customizing, what kind of power do you have for them? Whats your budget? And what subs do you have?

which EF set. if its the set with the tw-24 tweeters and 400satnet crossover I wouldn't. The cadence will have very similar sound then. i would suggest the drt-25 or atleast the tw-25 tweeter and 450/480 satnet crossover. May cost alittle more but well worth it.

the CDTs are nice, i would give them a try. Which Crystal set is it? Depending on what he has and what you have with the EF set they may be better. The EF with the drt tweeter and 560i crossover is quite nice.

honestly this is a overtalked about and debate question which only starts crap. Honestly, if you want it do it, just do it right. if you don't want it don't use it and leave it at that. There are technical reasons why its not good but there are also technical ways of getting very good results...
