don't quote me on this, but I would think all recent iPods have digital out via the dock connector. think about it - how could head units with an iPod adapter display the song/artist info if the mp3 was converted to analog before reaching the HU?

I'm looking for a headunit, and the only thing I care about is sound quality and more sound quality. Crossovers/equalizers are nice extras but not important since my amps can do most of that. Price doesn't matter too much, as long as its not outrageous (like over $500). Any suggestions?

the cone on my seas lotus driver has started to separate from the rubber ring around the edge of the speaker. what kind of sealant should i use to glue it back together? thanks.

so i've got a set of lotus references and i need to know how these should be properly mounted in the front doors. this is the first time i've bought speakers with such odd mounting holes...really, what were these guys thinking???

i have a pair of vifa xt25 tweeters wired using super cheap 24 gauge wire from radio shack. what's the optimal size or brand of wire to use for tweeters?

i have plenty of experience with the jl xr series. DO NOT buy either the xr or zr series from jl (they're pretty similar). while the xr's are decent for the money, they left me wanting more. i have since changed out the xr650 and xr525 component sets i had for seas lotus reference speakers and...

so what do ppl mean when they say their sub is "tuned" to xx hertz? are they referring strictly to the enclosure size?

i have a single 12w6v2 in jl's prowedge enclosure. just wondering what other ppl running this setup have theirs tuned to. i'm running it off a jl 500/1 and have the amp set to 45hz right now with a Q of 1.2 (no bass boost). it sounds pretty good but can get kind of muddy on some songs.

exactly. there is no such thing as "95% correct" when it comes to digital. if your burner writes even one erroneous bit to the CD, it really sucks. imagine if this was a data CD that you were burning and not an audio disc. one incorrect bit would render the entire CD worthless. most CD burning...

because burned CD's are generally from ripped MP3s. those MP3s are already degraded versions of the song. if you directly made a copy of a CD, the burned copy would be exactly the same.

NO. cd's are digital and all burners will write the same thing to the disc unless broken.
