they do not have quite as much low end as my pioneer ts-d690's but the tweeter sounds great. They are better than any other 6x9 ive heard other than my pioneer premier's which do not beat it by much at all. And yes that made in japan part is the only reason they are even still around

but when your speakers are distorting at high volume on bass notes you do need more power correct? that is if everything else is set up correctly

they are dusty and have had one foam ring replaced but they have no rattles and really do not distort easily at all

so you guys think that infinity will be enough power? i will just get a mono block amp if i get a sub

i have 2 yamaha 6x9s that we have had for a LONG LONG time and i was wondering if they are any good. Im no expert but they sound pretty good to me even compared to the pioneer premier 6x9s in my car. Not rattles or anything and they sound like new.

i should have worded that better, i was just saying there are only 2 connections and they are both visible in the trunk so i can see the positive and negative are hooked up correctly

yes, i know they are correct, the amp is in the trunk so the wires go directly from the amp to the speakers

well i just did a little test and it looks like i just need more power, i bridged my amp and hooked it to one 6x9 only and i had no more distortion, and the one speaker was putting out more bass than the 2 of them combined before. So how about this amp? INFINITY CLASS AB 360W RMS REFERENCE 4...

we do have a bandpass box with 2 8 inch subs in it now but they are so crappy i dont even bother with them, should i maybe buy 2 more 8 inch subs for it?
