    Wiring Questions for Audison 5.1k

Got my wire yesterday and it is definitely huge, probably not going to fit in the amplifier.  I wish I had bought the non-oversized welding wire now but I wanted to just get everything from one place... So much for that.  I also didn't think about what I was going to use to crimp the ring...

    Wiring Questions for Audison 5.1k

I saw those and didn't figure there was much difference but I kinda thought it was a little bit of a safety issue to have the positive hanging out in the opening where if something bumped it that it would be short to ground.  Honestly, the 1/0 will probably fit depending on how oversized Knu's...

    Wiring Questions for Audison 5.1k

It's a 2016 Chevy SS.  The generator is in the front.  The factory cable from the front to back is quite large, I'm not sure what gauge exactly but it looks larger than 1/0.  I didn't get a reply notification to this thread so I already ordered some KnuKonceptz 1/0 guage wire last night.  I...

    Wiring Questions for Audison 5.1k

I just bought an Audison 5.1k and I have two questions about the wiring. The owners manual says it can take 2 gauge cables but 2 gauge isn't very popular, it's either 0/1 or 4. Since my battery is in the trunk and my cables might be 5 ft. long at the most, the chart Crutchfield has on their...

    5 Channel or Seperates?

I figured as much, I see a lot of people do that and always thought about airflow. I currently have it mounted upside down under the package tray. I guess the 5 channel might be worth the little extra money so I can hopefully leave it in that location. That would make the rewiring somewhat...

    5 Channel or Seperates?

Luckily the battery is in the trunk so that helps significantly.  The Audison 5.1k looks nice but I'm worried that the 75 watts for the tweeters may not be enough since the MD102's are 8 ohms and  the mids will get the full 140 watts since they're 4 ohms.  I could probably save $100-$150 keeping...

SSA Icon 12" vs. Fi SSD 12"

I’m still deciding on if I’m taking the amp out of my car to use in my truck but either way I was going to buy the dual 2 ohm to run at 1 ohm. The amp I have now would give it 1000 watts so hopefully whatever I do will keep it near there.

    5 Channel or Seperates?

This requires some back story but I'll try to keep it short.  I just bought a truck and I've decided I want to upgrade the sound in it also but I can't spend a huge amount of money.  My car currently has an Arc Audio PS8 DSP, Digital Designs D5.1000 amplifier, Dynaudio System 222 front...

SSA Icon 12" vs. Fi SSD 12"

I'm pretty sure I'm set on getting the Icon but I still want to make sure that I'm using WinISD correctly so I can get the box design right.

SSA Icon 12" vs. Fi SSD 12"

I want a good musical sub that can get loud.  The PSI 10" I have now is not quite enough on certain songs.

SSA Icon 12" vs. Fi SSD 12"

Ok, so that's what that means.  Maybe @denim can answer that question?

SSA Icon 12" vs. Fi SSD 12"

What are they supposed to be? I figured it was wrong but that’s what was on SSA’s and Fi’s web sites.

SSA Icon 12" vs. Fi SSD 12"

The only way to flatten out the Fi is to drop the tuning to 30Hz and the box size to 1.5 ft*3.  That's part of the reason I was thinking something was wrong with the entry of the driver specs.
