i just installed that sub with the 650 and it sounds good but it definentaly doesn't hit as hard as it could

that's about what i was going to build my box to...but probably around the 34 hz range. still haven't decided

yeah i didn't know that size mattered when you buy a box at that time

i wasn't making anything harder then it should be. i'm not going to turn my car on and let it play music with the sub just laying in the back of the trunk. i'll just do it the way jmanpc said to.

and how would i play a sub out side of my car?

man i can't see that right now. i'm at school and we have hella strict blocking controls. when i play it free air what do i mount the sub to?

so i got a 1 cub slot ported box for my 12'' type r. i know it should need a 2 cub box but will i be fine for a couple of months till i get the money to build a two cub box?

run it free air? how would i do that?

how do i go about breaking my subs in? is it even nessicary? what would happen if i didn't break them in?

it was a type r dual 2. exchanged it for a dual 4

yeah i made that mistake and got a 2 ohm sub thinking i could run it at 2 ohms. then i had to return and i'm still waiting for the 4 ohm to get back.
